TIPS FOR APPROACHING BREEDERS
- Breeders often get inundated with puppy inquiries on a daily basis. Patience is important.
- Breeders have full time jobs, families and dog responsibilities, please be cognizant that these are hobby breeders. Patience is important.
- Do your homework. Look at the website, get to know the dogs and breeder and what their expectations are. Then work your perspective into your communications.
- Breeders are building a relationship with potential puppy buyers and want to make sure their puppies are going to a loving and caring homes.
- You're interviewing breeders just as much as you're interviewing them. It's okay to decide to approach another breeder.
- This is a small world. Breeders can and do talk to others about inquiries and interactions with puppy buyers.
